Oscar Nomination Predictions

It's that time of the year again! By winning PGA and continuing to perform superbly at the box office, The King's Speech is gaining big time momentum, and we may finally see an interesting race at the top this year, one that The Social Network appeared all but locked up after Golden Globes. But first thing first, my predictions for the nominations:

  2. What exactly is meant by an alternate? I've never understood why people put that in their predictions. Grow a pair and list the appropriate number of nominees, period. If you're wrong you're wrong. It's not the end of the world.

  3. The alternates are there to reflect other possibilities and the general state of each race. The predictions are what I truly predict will happen, and those are the only ones to be counted if we're grading how we did by tomorrow morning. I don't really see much problem with the approach.
